Not too long ago we were known as BrainCell Collective.
We have spent the last few years organising events, exhibitions and art fairs in Birmingham, and have provided a network that has allowed artists to meet, share ideas, put on shows together and broadcast events and exhibitions.
BrainCell was the pip, but now we are big enough to carry a whole load of creative fruits. We have a new name and a new philosophy - this is an exciting beginning for us and all the artists involved...
On this site you will find information on how to join the network. There will also be constant updates on what the group is doing and how you can take part. I will be updating the site on a regular basis, with news of events and exhibitions - by the group and the individual members.
There is also a space where I shall be advertising current exhibitions. I shall be placing reviews of shows I have attended as well as advertising ones that I think look interesting. I would also like other people to post details of things they are involved with, so please email events@applecart.org if you would like to advertise your event here - totally free.
Further down this page you will find a link to The AppleSource - an online gallery of work by Applecart members, and further links to external websites...
Many thanks - hope you enjoy the site.
- Tim (Applecart Director)
Our online gallery features work by some of the Applecart members, as well as some more information about them and how to contact the individual artists. The work is not for sale via this site, but if you are interested in purchasing any work shown or commissioning the artists, then please visit their site directly or allow us to forward a message on to them.

We are always on the lookout for fresh creative talent - from any area of the arts - and any level of experience. Students, masters, amateurs, part-time, full-time - in fact any kind of artists are welcome to join. We are simply looking for raw talent and dedication.
The network contains an eclectic mix of artists, from painters and sculptors to musicians and poets, and the variety is constantly growing. If you would like to be part of this group, please email a few examples of work, a little about yourself and a brief creative history, to tim@applecart.org.
Here are the links to some other sites that may interest you.
Applecart are not responsible for anything that appears outside of this site, and although all links are checked for relevance to the arts, we cannot be sure that everything on these sites is suitable for everyone.

Many thanks to Colour Division
We are currently in the process of sorting out the new collective, getting funding and finding fresh creative talent.
Our first project will be announced here - and will probably be in 2009!
Watch this space!!!

The markets will run every Saturday from 1 November until Christmas 10am to 5pm with additional dates to be arranged to cater for late night and last minute shoppers.
